Wildfire is part of my "World Issues" series, now dealing with climate change, which I believe is the most critical issue facing mankind. Climate change brings higher spring and summer temperatures and early melting of snow. With soils being drier longer, the danger of drought increases the length of the wildfire season, and the danger of fires from lightning and human error. Once started, the wildfires become longer lasting and more intense, especially in the western United States.
Wildfire is 30 inches high by 10 inches wide, acrylic on stretched canvas, on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides (gallery wrapped). A frame is not necessary. The elongated shape fits many spaces in modern apartments and homes. The painting is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance when a painting sells, which increases the value of the work. My artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick; copyright is not transferable through the purchase of artwork.
Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
