My View, April 2001, remembers when the architecture was still being criticized. I actually could see the towers from where I live, and I painted them the April before that September morning. The gap in the skyline still hurts. The painting is 34inches high by 36 inches wide, acrylic on stretched canvas. The framed dimensions are 36 by 40 inches. With a shadow frame none of the painting is cut off by the frame.
The painting is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance which increases the value of the work. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.
Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
