I drew Man With Vest in 1953, when I was still Eleanor Gottesfocht and an art student at The Educational Alliance in Manhattan. Local people would be invited to sit for the "life classes." I found this piece among a group of drawings in 2014, when I was looking into old portfolios. It is charcoal on paper, 21 inches high by 16 inches wide; and 25 by 21 inches, framed. I signed and dated the drawing on the front. As with all my sold work, I send a letter of provenance, which increases the value of the work. The drawing is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.
Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
