Product Description

Man With Open Collar is a drawing I did in 1954 when I was still Eleanor Gottesfocht. I was an art student at The Educational Alliance in Manhattan and local people would often sit for the “life class.” This piece is charcoal on paper, 19.5 inches high by 12 inches wide; 25 by 21 inches, framed. I initialed and dated the drawing on the front. This drawing was among a group from this period that I found in 2014 when I was looking at old portfolios. I decided to frame and show some. As with all my sold work, I send a letter of provenance, which increases the value of the work. My artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.

Painting With The Heart

Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
