Man With Glasses is a charcoal on paper drawing I did in 1954 when I was still Eleanor Gottesfocht, and an art student at The Educational Alliance in Manhattan. I found this piece along with others from this period in 2014, when I was looking at old portfolios. The subject was a local man who was asked to sit for the "life class." The drawing is 17.5 inches tall by 14 inches wide; and 25 by 21 inches framed. It is initialed and dated on the front. I send a letter of provenance for sold work, which increases its value. All my work is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.
Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
