The idea for Letting Go woke me up one morning in May, 2016, after I decided that my painting days were over. The painting is an abstract, 30 inches high by 24 inches wide, acrylic on stretched canvas, on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides (gallery wrapped), and was done mostly with a sponge. What seems green online is actually yellow.
It is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance when a painting sells, which increases its value. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick; copyright is not transferable through the purchase of artwork.
Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
