January Jog: West 12th Street, is one of 4 in a 4-part group that follows a jogger around New York City on a day in January. Here she passes someone walking on West 12 street in Manhattan. (One of the images here shows the four paintings together.)
This piece incorporates photo collage; for example, the snow includes photo fragments. It is oil on stretched linen, 28 by 22 inches, and is framed. The framed dimensions are 30 inches high by 24 inches wide. The shadow frame does not cut off any of the painting, which seems to float.
The painting is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance which increases the value of the work. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.
Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
