Flooded Streets is based on a photo from Great Britain. Flooding is often caused by climate change, because warmer air holds more moisture. When such warm air meets cooler air, rain is produced. Scientists expect that such downpours will increase and more flooding will follow. Climate change is one of the most dangerous problems we face as humans.
The painting is 18 inches high by 24 inches wide, acrylic on stretched canvas, on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides (gallery wrapped), so a frame is not necessary. It is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance when a painting sells, which increases its value. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick; copyright is not transferable through the purchase of artwork.
Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
