Baby Me is a portrait of a little girl on a Brooklyn, New York rooftop in 1936. The picture captures the way children of poor families looked when they were dressed up to be photographed. The photo on which this is based was mounted on a small round mirror.
The painting is 34 by 34 inches, acrylic on stretched canvas and is framed. The framed dimensions are 36 x 36 inches. The painting is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance which increases the value of the work. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.
Hello!! I am a contemporary realist painter of landscapes, people, still lifes, and abstracts that reflect my love of beauty and the way I see the world. Some paintings deal with peace issues; some are about Climate Change; many have edgy compositions. I never sell prints of my artwork. So, see my descriptions to find out about each piece. Please write to me if you have any questions.
